We are an Off-campus Centre for University of Sunderland in Morocco :

SIST University has known tremendous developments. Since our opening in 2001, we have been concentrating on improving the quality of our teaching and programmes. We deliver programmes that come from University of Sunderland www.sunderland.ac.uk and University of Wales, Institute Cardiff www.uwic.ac.uk leading to British degrees that are Internationally recognised.

We are the only University in Morocco to deliver complete British degrees taught here in Morocco. To get your Internationally accredited Degree you do not have to go to the UK that could double or triple the cost of your Degree and that is before living expenses are included.

SIST University is involved with many different communities in many activities. Through its links with professional NGO’s such as the British and American Chambers of Commerce and other professional bodies we continue to develop our contacts for the benefit of our graduates who find no difficulty in finding jobs. SIST University will continue to support local communities’ development.
The future looks very promising. We have just established a new venture with another University namely University of Wales Institute, Cardiff. Through this University, we will be offering new programmes both in Casablanca and in Marrakech. We will be offering a new BA in International Business Management, BA in Marketing, BA in Tourism Management and an MBA in Business Management. These are in addition to what we already offer as Bachelors and Masters from the University of Sunderland.

The English form of higher education:
Students apply for a 3 year degree subjects of their choice and they study those subjects exclusively. At SIST, they do so in depth, and to a very advanced level. We do not have 'general education' or 'core curriculum' requirements that, for example, require humanities students to do science courses.
We are distinctive for a number of reasons :
We teach University of Sunderland and Uinversity of Wales, Institute Cardiff high level courses in the chosen fields.
We are committed to achieving the best possible success and employability for our students by offering outstanding student support, highly effective teaching and learning strategies and practical links with employers.
We believe passionately in offering higher education to all who will benefit from it.
Where possible, we work in partnership with other outstanding institutions to offer the very best and widest education opportunities.
The selected courses of University of Sunderland and University of Wales, Institue Cardiff are of the highest standard, and we collaborate with the British Council for the teaching of our Foundation Year students.
Our academic standing, creativity and innovation are widely recognised in Morocco through quality control procedures by the Ministry of Higher Education in Morocco, University of Sunderland and Unversity of Wales, Institute Cardiff.
Equal opportunities are of central importance to our mission of inclusiveness. Our equal opportunities policy lies at the heart of our activities.
The University is led by the Executive Board, headed by President Dr. Tariq Obaid
